FIX AUTO HEREFORD OPENS FOR BUSINESS ELEVATING OWNER INTO A MULTI-SITE OPERATOR

Fix Auto Hereford is finally open for business – completing the ambition of owner Kevin Dunlop who joined the network just 20 months ago.

The new centre is a significant move for Kevin who joined the network in March 2023 as the owner of Fix Auto Tewkesbury. Upon joining, he outlined his ambition to join the ranks of the multi-site operator and earlier this year revealed his plans to develop his Hereford site situated close to the heart of the historic city.

Six months after receiving the keys to what was a dilapidated former warehouse, repaired vehicles from locals living nearby are now rolling out of the 5,500 sq ft state-of-the-art repair facility. Crucially, Kevin and his team have sailed through the pre-audit process for his BS 10125 certification and are now preparing for their final audit scheduled for early next month.

Commenting on the achievement, Kevin said: “I am so delighted to be here in Hereford standing in my new repair centre. It has taken me a little longer than expected simply because as we pulled back layers of the old building we uncovered various unforeseen issues that slowed our progress down. That said, I really couldn’t be happier with the way things have turned out.”

The design layout for the centre is one to provide complete efficient throughput of work with damaged vehicles being driven in from a secured compound and then driven out of the spraybooth directly into the quality control inspection area. When fully operational, Kevin expects to repair more than 50 vehicles a month from the site.
